Job description:

Under the management of the Vice President - Logistics Center Division, the Logistics Manager , will be responsible for strategic oversight of the day-to-day activity for the distribution, warehouse, and customer service operations with the Warehouse Partner (4PL).  He/she will be responsible for the day to day activity working with company's Logistics Partner (4PL) and they must be the super user for Manhattan WM. They will oversee the, inventory management, and the development of process improvements in conjunction with the 4PL.  A strong leader with effective communication and leadership skills to minimize costs, streamline operations, and increase profitability, initiate and drive excellence and best practices across the supply chain to achieve operational efficiencies.  Proficient background in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and processes.  He/she will be responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure client standards, requirements, and satisfaction are fully met and exceeded.
 
 
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
 
*           Key liaison role between company LCD management and Warehouse Partners (4PL) logistics and warehouse operations
*           Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
*           Acquired proficiency in WMS to enhance knowledge of management and operations in the Logistics Center
*           Overseas conformity of inventory management to ensure integrity of inventory is validated and maintained.  This includes but is not limited to cycle counting, shipping, and receiving processes.
*           Promote continuous improvement including strategic evaluations and SOPs for all major Logistic Center-related functions by working closely with the Partner warehouse (4PL)
*           Ensure proper compliance and adherence to all SOP's and the Statement of Work
*           Develop KPI (key performance indicators) and metrics to Senior Management
*           Administrative responsibility for System matters, Customer matters and the 4PL relationship
*           Consistently promotes a strong corporate culture, quality, and high performance
 
Qualifications:
 
*           BA/BS degree preferred or 5 - plus years comparable work experience
*           Record of successful distribution and logistics management; demonstrated ability to lead a logistic center staff
*           Ability to work in a high paced environment and meet critical deadlines; ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
*           Proficient in warehouse management software; experience in Manhattan WMS, a plus
*           Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
*           Must possess excellent customer service, effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in various PC applications including Email, Word, and Excel

Bottom Line Requirements:

1.  Bachelor's degree preferred.
2.  5+ plus years of experience of distribution and logistics management.
 
3.  Proficient in warehouse management software; experience in Manhattan WMS is a plus.
