Job description:

Key responsibilities:
Process purchase orders into internal sales order system.
Map out project and program schedules, identifying needed resources, working with internal team members regarding account strategy to gain new business from existing customers and new product opportunities from new customers.
Responsible for acting as the liaison between the customer and company (Materials Control, Scheduling, Engineering, AP/AR, Sales, etc.) with responsibility for handling all sales, engineering and tooling orders, account questions, complaints, returns, and other general queries for assigned accounts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer after receipt of purchase order.  Spearhead successful execution of the purchase order and effectively communicate status with customer.
Constant, on-going communications are a must to keep internal and external stakeholders informed and updated on programs.
Engage with engineering, procurement, production, sales and quality personnel as needed to understand the status of the program.
Follow up to ensure program is on schedule and will be completed on time, at cost targets and meeting all customer requirements.
Analyze the risk of action and inaction to the program’s success. Persuade colleagues, customers and suppliers to take appropriate action; advise as to the appropriate pace and compel urgency when needed.
Determine viable, creative options and solutions and obtain needed approvals to proceed forward when faced with obstacles, barriers, delays and challenges to successful completion of program.
Prioritize critical resources to ensure success of multiple projects and programs.
Qualifications and Skills                                                                                                                                
A four year Business or Technical degree in is preferred
Five to ten years of demonstrated sales effectiveness in a technical product relevant industry is required.
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills are required for this position, including the ability to positively engage potential customers at any level in their organization in conversation in person and via phone and/or computer.
Excellent organizational, decision making skills and the ability to be self-motivated are needed.
Must have strong written and verbal communication, presentation, selling and analytical skills.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Prior experience with CRM systems preferred.
Strong decision making, problem solving and organizational skills are required.

Bottom Line Requirements:

1.  Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical degree is preferred.
2.  5+ years of demonstrated sales effectiveness in a technical product.
3.  Prior experience with CRM systems preferred.
