Job description:

Company is seeking an exceptional Aerodynamic Turbomachinery Engineer to develop turbomachinery designs for radial and axial compressors, pumps and turbines. The ideal candidate should have a Master’s or PhD degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, and minimum 3 years of experience in turbomachinery aerodynamics.
 
Perform several clean-sheet turbomachinery design projects at a time. Example turbomachine design projects include fuel pumps for the next-generation rocket turbo pumps, gas turbine engines, advanced diffuser technology, innovative turbocharger technology, modular hydroturbines and more.
Work with a team of world-class experts in turbomachinery and highly capable support staff in other business units.
Apply engineering principles in statics, dynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and mechanical design to aid in the development of turbomachinery hardware, and other specialized products.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
 
Lead and/or contribute to the aerodynamics design of turbomachinery systems using a combination of advanced meanline and CFD tools.
Collaborate with other engineering staff to design, build and test turbomachinery systems.
Work with customers to ensure our services meet and exceed their expectations.
Responsible for completing engineering projects on schedule and within budget.
 
Desired Qualifications and Skills
 
MS in mechanical engineering or equivalent, PhD in the field of fluid dynamics preferred.
3 years of experience in the field of turbomachinery design/analysis.
Proficient in the use of CFD tools to analyze compressible and/or incompressible fluids
Ability to perform mechanical analysis using FEA tools is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to drive change, manage conflict, and achieve results
Must be US citizen or US permanent resident.

Bottom Line Requirements:
